Recently, the "BRICS Future Skills Training Base" International Seminar, organized by the China Skills Development Working Group of the BRICs Business Council, was held online. At the invitation of the conference, Julia Zhu, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office (International Exchanges Center) of GZCCC, shared the construction achievements of the five project bases on behalf of the college. Pan Dan, deputy director of the Academic Office, Li Youbing, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical engineering, Gao Hua, deputy dean of the School of Architectural Engineering, and Kuang Bowen, officer of the Foreign Affairs Office attended the meeting.

At the meeting, relevant personages from Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa delivered presentations on typical cases of base construction one by one, and jointly discussed the challenges and development trends faced by the future construction of technical skills training bases. Dr. Liu Zhenying, chairman of the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council and chairman of the Belt and Road and the BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development, commented that solid and effective work was seen in the base construction of GZCCC, extended his congratulations on our students’ remarkable achievements in international competitions, and expected continuous progress presentations concerning base construction in the future.

Relying on the international platforms such as the Belt and Road and the BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development, our college has 5 five bases listed in the "international training base for future technical skills ", namely, "BIM", "IBS", Industrial Robots, Intelligent Mold Manufacturing and Industrial Internet ", which has played a positive role in broadening the global vision of our teachers and students and promoting international exchanges. Our students have won one first prize, two second prizes and two third prizes in the "BRICS Vocational Skills Competition" in recent two years.
