On September 10, 2020, the 13thNational Modern Logistics Science and Technology Innovation Conference and 2020 Awarding Conference of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, co-sponsored by CFLP and Suining Municipal People's Government, was held in Suining City, Sichuan Province. Qi Xuchun, vice chairman of the 12thCPPCC National Committee, attended and declared the meeting open. Deng Zhengquan, mayor of Suining city, presided over the opening ceremony.
At the meeting, GZCCC’s project "R&D and Application of Manufacturing Production Logistics System by Intelligent Welding of Large Mechanical Structure Parts"(《大型机械结构件智能化焊接制造生产物流系统研发与应用》), completed by Dr. Zhang Nanfeng's team from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, stood out from the other projects and won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award again. This is the second national first-prize (social force) that Dr. Zhang's team won in the field of logistics.
