On December 24, 2020, GZCCC received the certificate of award from China Instrument and Control Society, which shows that Dr. Zhang Nanfeng's team from School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award.

It is understood that, Zhang's team has completed the project《R&D and Industrialization of AI Kitchen Waste Washing Equipment Based on the Internet of Things》jointly with South China University of Technology and Midea Group, which stands out from the crowd and once again won the second prize issued by China Instrument and Control Society. This is the third S&T Progress Award that Zhang’s team won in 2020.
